Initiated by Ile-de-France’s president, Valérie Pécresse, Versailles is to host the region’s first landscape and architecture biennale from May 3rd to July 13th 2019. Comissioned by Versailles’ mayor François de Mazières, the biennale’s theme « Humans, nature and the city » adresses the city’s future and serves as a way to create public awareness around climate change through the creation of a creative campus to foster groundbreaking ideas in green urban planning and sustainable architecture.
The King’s stable and vegetable gardens will open their doors to host both the National School of Architecture and the National Landscaping School’s exhibitions curated by architects and urban-landscape planners: Djamel Klouche and Alexandre Chemetoff.
